Armeen Mazda is the co-founder and CEO of Appeon. Prior to becoming CEO, Armeen served various other roles in Appeon, including Product Management, Business Development, and Operations. Prior to co-founding Appeon, Armeen was co-founder of NetUpSide, a Silicon Valley-based incubator of high-tech startups. Armeen is a graduate of the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley, and holds 5 U.S. patents in the area of Web application technologies.

Julie Jiang is the Product Manager of Appeon, driving the product roadmap, feature definitions, and release management. Julie joined Appeon in 2002 and worked closely with Sybase to create the first documentation for PowerServer. Julie’s past work experience includes technical support manager at TUV Rheinland and system analyst at Accela Automation. Julie is a graduate of the University of Science and Technology in China, and holds degrees in both Computer Science and Arts.

Mr. Pollach joined Appeon in 2016 in the capacity as Director, Developer Relations. He is responsible for developer liaison, PowerBuilder courses, technical presentations and support. Mr. Pollach is a former Technical Solutions Architect and DEVOPS specialist with over 30 years experience in Systems Software Analysis, Development, Maintenance and Technical Support IT areas. Mainly in the areas of GUI Design, MS-Windows Programming, Wireless, Application / Web Server Design, Object Oriented Development Tools, Methodologies, Database and Network application development. He has participated in numerous technical, planning and management roles, as well as consulted and educated in these fields for a diverse clientele.

Mark is the expert in United Insurance Group on PowerServer and led the development of the PowerServer 2021 deployment during the last 2 months. Recent Projects: 2021 – Deploy complex client/server application InsurPAS (Insurance Paperless Automation System) to PowerServer 2021. Used by remote insurance agents in another state. 2020 – Built WebAPI in SnapDevelop to integrate texting into InsurPAS client/server app. This texting integration allows Claim Adjusters to fully leverage texting, including pictures and documents, with our claim handling process. 2009 – 2021 – Enhance and maintain InsurPAS client/server application.

Zhang Jianxin has been an experienced Management Information Systems Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the electrical and electronic manufacturing industry. Skilled in ERP Implementation, Management, Business Intelligence, Software Implementation and Azure Cloud migration. He leads a team of 14 PowerBuilder developers to support the business/operation needs, and in the process to migrate existing client/server ERP system to be Cloud ready by using latest Appeon Powerserver2021 platform.

Bruce Armstrong is a senior developer with Integrated Data Services (IDS). Prior to joining IDS in 2004 he spent 15 years as an independent consultant doing PowerBuilder development. He is an Appeon MVP and has done sessions on PowerBuilder at Sybase TechWaves, SAP TechEds, Appeon Elevate conferences, local user group meetings in Columbia, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, England, Italy, Spain and France as well as online webcasts.

Don Clayton is President of Intertech Consulting, Inc., Appeon’s North American Consulting Partner. Intertech was previously a PowerSoft Partner and partnered with SAP and Sybase for over 25 years. Don has 32 years of PowerBuilder experience and 39 years of industry and consulting experience. He holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from Rice University, where he taught various courses at the Rice University Jones Graduate School of Management for nine years while maintained a research effort on modern software analysis and design techniques. Don is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

Gian Luca De Bonis is an international consultant, Scrum specialist, and IT project manager, that has created several solutions for PowerBuilder and is consulting customers around the world on PowerBuilder, Agile methodologies, Managed outsourcing, and PowerBuilder-to-C# migration using the .Net DataStore.

Brian Le Suer is the CEO of Zeenyx Software, a company dedicated to building next generation testing solutions. He is a founding partner of Star Quality, a New England based firm specializing in consulting and training for SQA and automated testing. Brian served as Executive Vice President of R&D for Segue Software, where he built a world class engineering team and played a key role in a successful IPO. His earlier career experience includes various roles as a SQA engineer, technical writer and technical trainer. He regularly contributes presentations and articles for various industry events and publications. He holds a Masters of Computer Science from the University of New Haven and a BA in English Literature from CCSU.

Ronnie Po is the founder and principal of Morpheon Corporation d/b/a ChartBase Medical Systems, an independent consulting and software development business based in Pasadena, California. He is a long-time PowerBuilder and SQL developer specializing in custom line-of-business applications. He received a Laureate Medal in Innovation by IDG’s 2012 Computerworld Honors Program for his work on ChartBase, a specialty medical application developed using PowerBuilder and SQL Anywhere. At the 2011 SAP Tech Ed/Sybase TechWave conference in Las Vegas, his demonstration of an image-mapped query tool was selected as one of seven finalists from a field of over one hundred entries at the annual Demo Jam event, ultimately placing second. In recent years has worked closely with Appeon in testing and showcasing the PowerBuilder and PowerServer products.

Miller Rhodes has been a member of the professional team at Intertech Consulting for over 6 years. Miller has 32 years of PowerBuilder experience beginning with Version 2.0 Beta. Miller has touched every version leading up to and including Powerbuilder 2022 R3. Miller has also developed extensive knowledge of SnapDevelop and PowerServer as well. Miller previously presented at Elevate in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Kevin has written for the PowerBuilder Developer's Journal and first presented at Techwave for Sybase in the early 2000's and most recently for Appeon at Elevate 2018/2019/2020/2021. John Strano has been using PowerBuilder since 1991 and has authored articles for multiple industry periodicals. John has been a certified instructor of PowerBuilder and has presented development tools on an international basis since 1997. Over the last 33 years John has developed a variety of applications scaling up to enterprise-class, Web-based projects. He has been a Sybase Technology Evangelist and was a charter member of TeamPowersoft/TeamSybase.

I have worked with Powerbuilder since 1993 starting with version 3.0. I was immediately taken by the power and functionality of the datawindow control and the ease it allows the developer to do so many things. My focus since has been on taking this functionality to the extreme.
