Dear Valued Customer:
This letter provides notification about the features that will be obsolete, or discontinued, in the upcoming PowerBuilder 2025 release. Obsolete features are features that are available but are no longer eligible for technical support and will no longer be enhanced. Discontinued features are features that are completely removed from the product, and therefore will require you remediate before being able to upgrade to PowerBuilder 2025.
Discontinued Features:
- PowerScript Migrator. The PowerScript Migrator will be discontinued in version 2025. Customers who use PowerScript Migrator for translating non-visual PowerBuilder code and objects to C# may choose to use PowerBuilder 2022 R3.
Obsolete Features:
- MSSCCI API. The MSSCCI API for interfacing with legacy source control systems, such as Visual Source Safe, will be obsolete in version 2025. While you can still interface with legacy source control systems in the PowerBuilder IDE, it will no longer be eligible for technical support. Appeon recommends customers to migrate to Git or SVN source control, which are supported.
