When connecting with the Appeon Web app via HTTPS, a certificate signed by Appeon must be installed on the client first. This certificate helps secure communications between the Appeon plug-in and the Web browser; the installation is required only one time, and the certificate will be retained when the Appeon plug-in or the other Web app files are removed.
When you are prompted to install the certificate signed by Appeon (as shown below), be sure to click Yes, so you can proceed to access the Web app via HTTPS.
It is not recommended to access the Appeon Web app via HTTPS when you are in LAN, for two reasons: 1) the SSL certificate cannot be verified in LAN and the end user will be prompted for that; 2) While downloading the app files, Appeon will continue attempting to verify the certificate until it’s timed out, as such, the end user may notice delays during the file download.
